MBDC Brochure

Hi class,
This week I revised my MBDC brochure and feel like it could still be improved and need some feedback.

MBDC is a company that helps other companies find greener solutions to their business. The target audience of my design is body product companies. I chose this target market because many big body product companies today use chemicals and plastic particles in their products that not only pollute the environment but also affect people's skin. Another reoccurring issue is the one that I talked about in my info graphic on the 2nd spread. More companies, especially body product ones, are using palm oil in their products. The effect this has on the rainforest is devastating and I wanted to continually represent this in my design.

My solution was to use rainforest images in the background throughout my design and to use bright greens and rich browns. In addition to the rainforest images, I frequently used photos of natural alternatives to be used in body products such as Shea Butter and Coconut Oil. These additives are not only natural and safe for the environment but are also especially good for skin. Overall, I wanted to convey that it is easy to leave out the harsh chemicals and create new body product formulas made from healthy, organic substances.

Rumble Pak

Hey everyone,
This is the 2nd piece I'm considering. For this project we had to design a magazine off a topic of our choice. I decided to make Rumble Pak, A gaming magazine targeting hardcore gamers age 16-35 because the gamer demographic is fairly spread out, with the average age being 31. The idea behind it was that most gaming publications these days have become too watered down and aren't willing to give a game a critical rating below a seven on a 1-10 scale. This problem has lead gamers to seek out smaller, indie review mediums that still retain their integrity. The name Rumble Pak is a reference to the peripheral device that was sold for the Nintendo 64 that allows haptic feedback in a controller, which has now been replaced with controllers that already contain the means to provide haptic feedback within them. The term that was also coined with these devices was called "Force Feedback" for the sensation the produced when activated, hence one of the titles of the columns. These devices were made to give the player a new sense to gaming and to shake things up which is what Rumble Pak magazine aims to do as well.

This is one of the projects that I would like to continue working on as I feel that I did not have enough time the first go around to get it where I want it. It was for Corporate ID and it is a cafe, with competitors such as Panera Bread or Au Bon Pain, called ReFresh Cafe. I feel as if it needs a logo re-design and want to make it appear more professional.

Project: Brochure for customers on ReFresh Cafe (made up compnay)

Message: Target audeince would be 20-40 year olds, workers, middle-high class

Influences: Work-Style cafes, to inspire and help "refresh" peoples minds when it comes to creativity

MBDC Brochure

This project was for intermediate layout class. MBDC is a real company, but we had to make a logo for them and then design a brochure. My target audience was architects, and the idea was to promote MBDC's green energy and environmentally conscious design principles.

Business card and personal logo.

This is my business card and personal logo. I have been getting feedback that I should make changes but I an unsure where to start.

Prince Tennis Racquet Poster

Project: Prince Tennis Racquet

Class: Principle of Commercial Photography

Originally for the class our job was to take pictures of a product of our choosing in a photography lab.
I decided to pick my faithful tennis racquet because i love prince tennis products and
had a beautiful red glow which i wanted to capture on photo.

Purpose: After seeing how well the photos came out i decided i wanted to create a poster for prince tennis racquet because for tennis all of the advertisement focuses on the player then the product. I created this poster to help info customers about Prince Speedzone 105. The racquet head is heavy, and a light frame allowing the player to generate power and natural spin effortlessly.

My target audience: Tennis players who are ready to move from beginner level to intermediate level and is looking for a racquet that can generate spin on the ball.
