DWave Infographic

Hi everyone, here is my infographic piece. It was designed to go in an issue of Time Magazine, to be a successful info graphic for a tech savvy office. The idea behind the info graphic is the Dwave computer, which uses quantum physics, creating a super computer that has the potential to change the way we all live our lives.  I used colors from dwave advertising and website and created my own icon to represent the dwave computer, along with all the other icons.

Chameleon Update

I've done some work on my Chameleon project since I last asked for feedback. Here's the updated version!

And to reiterate since it's been a while:

Project Info: Chameleon Art Supplies sells quality creative tools at a reasonable price. The company prides itself on the belief that art is for everyone, no matter the experience or skill level, and encourages artists from all over the country to pick up a paintbrush and do what they love. With competition like Crayola and Prismacolor, Chameleon strives to find the balance between technique and fun. So choose Chameleon for your next artistic undertaking, and let your colors show.

Chameleons are commonly known for their ability to blend in with their surroundings, but the reality is that the creatures primarily use their color-changing abilities for communication purposes, not camouflage.  Art is something that I feel passionate about as a communication tool between humans, so that was a parallel that I focused strongly on during this project. The logo is a simplified chameleon face from the front view, an angle that isn’t often seen in photographs. The logo font is Eccentric STD, which I found strongly reminiscent of a chameleon’s long, stick-like legs. The secondary element is a spread of rounded diamonds. The diamonds come in all of the colors from the company palette EXCEPT for the actual green of the logo, and they are laid out in all different sizes. This design element is a reference to chameleon skin, which is covered in rough bumps of different sizes that enable the chameleon to change their colors. Instead of circular shapes, I used the rounded diamonds in order to connect back to the logo.
This is my stationary sweet. I feel that is is almost there but I not sure what to do next. I think it may the off white hexagons. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Quantum Leap Infographic

Hey everyone,

Here's my infographic for an article called Quantum Leap that explored what quantum computing is all about and the benefits of it. Originally the final was red on white mostly, but I was partial to the colors I originally had here. I also tightened up some elements and the way the line leads around the page.

Bookworm Magazine

Hi class,

This is Bookworm Magazine, a fictional monthly magazine for book-lovers that feature upcoming books as well as interviews with famous authors. My concept was to work with a color palette that consisted mostly of blacks and blues as well as the golds for the new year spread and to use the book cover artwork throughout my design. I am really happy with how this turned out and would appreciate any feedback to help me further this piece along.

Logo- Redesign

Here are some digital thumbnails of my logo re-do. I am having trouble deciding which type version I like the best. Let me know what you all think!

Branding

So I tried breaking up the color and I tried dropping the opacity in other cases. I am leaning towards the third one with the yellow-orange color but I am still not sure. It's tempting to use black and white only but I do not mind exploring with color. For the last .jpg I experimented by blowing up the logo to see if it would add interest, which is what I did for my cover page.

Please let me know what you think.
Thank you in advance

Let it Be New Version

Hi everyone, here is my songbook. It is "Let it be" by The Beatles. It is in the style of an accordion book, I chose colors that imitated colors and patterns from the 1960's. After research about the song and learning that it was a song written by Paul McCartney for his mother Mary, I wanted to give it a hint of a hand written influence to mimic his personal notes when writing this song.

It may be a little hard to follow, my original version would not save as one spread. I am in the process of switching a lot of things around so I have not completed the redraft, and I am contemplating if the whole song is needed at this point.

I've uploaded my new version as one spread but added individual jpegs incase the spread was too small!

Let it Be Original

Here is the original version.
