So I tried breaking up the color and I tried dropping the opacity in other cases. I am leaning towards the third one with the yellow-orange color but I am still not sure. It's tempting to use black and white only but I do not mind exploring with color. For the last .jpg I experimented by blowing up the logo to see if it would add interest, which is what I did for my cover page.
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you in advance

Lauryn, I agree with what we talked about in class earlier. I think the second to last one would be more successful pulling away from the P if you added a transparency and made the L come out more than the P. I think the last would look great as a large scale background or back of element.
ReplyDeleteHi Lauryn,
ReplyDeleteI have to say, you created a really beautiful, strong logo for yourself and I absolutely love it. I love the look of the logo in the black circle on the white page and the colors you chose. I would try the yellow-green on the black circle if you haven't already. It's just such a vivid, unique color I think it would be really interesting in contrast with the black. But not to say that I'm not a fan of the yellow-orange because that's also a really nice choice.
Hey Lauryn,
ReplyDeleteI really like the use of negative space for the L. Because you did it that way, I feel like you could pair any two colors that don't completely clash with each other and it'll look good, especially embossed/pressed. I'm also with Kayla in trying that green on the smaller black circle. This version is definitely my favorite, but I'm partial to the green myself, so I would try it instead of the orange.
Lauryn - it's unanimous, the orange/black color breaks make a beautiful icon. You can use any bright color to replace the orange (although I like the orange)... the bright lime green would work just as well. Don't be shy with this color... it will need to be bright.
