I also updated my color palate, I removed on color so it is just 4 colors and I saturated the tones a bit more to give a more mature and relaxed feel. I am really happy with the new palate but still open to opinions.
Logo-Redesign
Hi everybody, here is my new logo options. The first one is black and white reversed and the next set is the colors. I still have 2 different logo's, I am having a hard time deciding which one works best, I am leaning towards the bottom one with hallissey design under the "hd" graphic. I would love to hear feedback on which one everyone thinks works best as a logo.

C - I think your inclination towards the bottom right is one you should follow. I also want to point out that it sits quite well in the dark square... just as we see it here. So, when color is added... the value of that color will need to be as dark as you can make it. So.. the purple color makes sense to me... as far as value goes. A darker tint might be something you should also look at. Be bold (grin).
ReplyDeleteThanks Coni,
ReplyDeleteWhich color are you seeing the purple in? The grey tone?
Also, does the h in the graphic, look like an h or do you think it is looking too much like an n?
I see that last color in your color palette, as is seen in upper left on page 2 above, as a mid-value muted purple. The colors in your palette are pastels, all of them. Yes?
ReplyDeleteIt would not hurt to extend the ascender in the "h" a bit higher to solve the "n" vs "h" issue. I guess I didn't get stuck on it because I read Hallissey Designs below it and realized it was an "h"... but it could be read as an "n"... so why not pull it up just a tad? I think it will still work, yes?
Hi Colleen, such a difference from the last time we saw it... I'm gad you went with this one and agree with Coni that I like your name below it then to its sides. I like the curve your created with the h, I think its perfect, but something about the curve off the d seems not perfectly "flawy" to me. When "design" is above it, it looks fine but when nothing is above it, it seems a little off. I really like your logo so tweaking that would make it pretty much perfect to me :)
ReplyDeleteI like your additional color palette and think the grey is a great, modern look for you!
C - I agree with Amanda about the swash off the "d"... look at it's trajectory and the width of the stroke... make it more similar to the swash on the "h" (consider duping it, rotating and attaching it to the d?). It's good that others besides myself look at these... I don't always pick up on everything that should be attended to!
