Logo- Redesign

Here are some digital thumbnails of my logo re-do. I am having trouble deciding which type version I like the best. Let me know what you all think!

  1. I like this new design a lot better than the last one. This one feels more modernized and elegant, compared to the other one which seems very country/feminine/"martha stewart", which may be perfect for someone who is into crafting/gardening.
My only question is that I see the "hd" in the middle, what does the hd stand for? if it stand for Hallisey Design, it might be redundant to have that initialed between the word "Hallissey Design".
I would suggest your own initials, "c.h." instead.

For overall look, I like the typeface on the bottom left and how text in it is laid out. Though the bottom right has interesting placement - i feel the balance is almost there but not quite. I would go with either of the two

  2. Hi Colleen

I really like this redesign! And I understand what Maria's saying but like we discussed I think your choice of using the one on the bottom right will work really well. Not only is this redesign modern but it adds a personally "freespirited" twist, which is visually pleasing. Can't wait to see how you add color!

  3. Colleen - Because the sans serif is bold but not too complicated, which then leaves the lovely "hd" script as the focal point, I would vote for either of the last 2 (bottom right). Color will now be important... think about who YOU are, what colors you are drawn to... how you want to be perceived as a designer. What color breaks do you want to use... how many colors/tints/shades you want to use. As we saw in Lauryn's logo... the color breaks play a large role is the success of the logo.
