Maria - this is definitely aimed at upscale, organic-minded young parents who are financially well off, and want their kids to be well dressed. The colors and typography all say this. Logo is strong - very nice. I would suggest you also design storefront signage (make this a real store and use a mock up to show us what it would look like), and include a hang-tag design. I say develop this into an exclusive line of retail stores in areas much like Brookline Village. In fact, there is an organic baby/young child clothing store on Harvard Street about 2 blocks from school. You might want to stop by to see how they use their brand design within the store.
I enjoy the color palate on this, it is warm and inviting. The only suggestion I would have would be to maybe incorporate the cat that appears in the logo a little more often either on the clothing or on the pages themselves? Other than that I think this is a successful catalog.
Hi Maria, I remember talking to you when this was in the making. The logo is very strong and the color palette is really nice for this catalog. I agree with Colleen I do think having the cat appear on other pages would be nice. Overall, this project, in my opinion, is pretty much done!
I really like the brand as a whole... I wish there was a "who we are" page in the beginning to introduce us to the brand instead of just jumping right into the stationary. I'm sure it was required for the project but I feel like that would really pull the project all together.
I also wonder if this should be 8.5x11... thats what they look like online at least. If you change the size to another that might make it look a little more modern too in my opinion. When I made a brochure and style guide, one was almost a square it was 10x8 and I feel like it made a huge difference in setting mine apart!
