Froyo Delivery Menu - Jackie
Client: FroyoWorld Allston (frozen yogurt lounge service froyo and smoothies)
Target: Young adults, mostly college aged and young professionals (18-25).
The objective was to create a tri-fold brochure with the store's delivery menu. The first image (from left to right) has an inside flap, back cover, and front cover. The second image is the inside of the brochure. It is supposed to be a white background, so ignore the light grey color!
It goes to print for 10,000 copies in a week or so, so some feedback would be great!

If this is going to the printer within a week, you may not have time to develop it and get approval. But, if you do - I suggest you rethink the cover. What is your focal point? The logo is up top, but so small that the dotted "delivery" copy and other shapes/text in the design are dominating the page... so we simply skip the logo... bad for branding, right? So - visual hierarchy is a real problem here - the most important element is lost, and the rest is fighting for attention amongst themselves.
ReplyDeleteAfter turning the cover open, we see 2 panels (including the fold-in on right). I am wondering if these 2 panels are unified enough to sit next to each other? They don't look like they share colors or horizontal alignment between any of their elements.
That's it - now I'll wonder if you have time to rethink any of this!
I like the colors and the playfulness of it. I do agree that there should be more hierarchy on the cover. It does seem there is a lot competing on the cover. The dotted box on the cover may not be necessary.
ReplyDeleteWhen I turn the cover open, the message on the right flap along with whats on the other side of the cover does not bother me much.. i'd just make the typeface the same as the other page and already there would be unity because its mostly text anyway. And the subtitles "Fun Flaver" and "What Is Froyo" is similar enough to me to make connection.
I think Elfy/Logo should definitely be a focal point on the cover. Though I do understand that the purpose of this is to promote that FYW is delivering now and that's what you want to draw attention to. The only other thing that's bugging me is that Elfy's hand is cut off on the last page. I feel like you could move him up/reposition him and have all of him in there.
